Opmerkingen

The Château de Blois souvenir zero-euro is part of the UEAJ programme that has, since 2015, produced legal-design-format notes with a face value of zero — technically spendable nowhere, but bearing all the security features of genuine euro currency, including holograms and eurion constellations. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints the series under licence, applying the same intaglio and offset processes used for circulating notes.

Blois was a primary residence of the French royal court through much of the 15th and 16th centuries, and the château's architecture reflects successive monarchs rebuilding over earlier foundations — four distinct wings, four different reigns.
