Eurosouvenirs 0 Euro notes are legal collector items produced under license from the European Central Bank, which granted formal permission for their issuance precisely because they carry no monetary value and pose no counterfeiting risk worth pursuing. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to full-specification banknote security standards anyway — proper intaglio, UV-reactive fibers, the works — which is part of the commercial appeal.

Chantilly's Musée Condé holds one of France's most significant collections of illuminated manuscripts and old master paintings, assembled largely by the Duc d'Aumale in the nineteenth century and bequeathed to the Institut de France in 1886 under a strict condition: nothing could ever be loaned out or rearranged.
