Comments

Chata pri Zelenom plese is a mountain refuge in the High Tatras, sitting at roughly 1,551 metres near the Green Lake — one of the more visited huts in Slovak alpine territory. The 0 Euro souvenir format, issued under the EuroSouvenir programme, uses genuine Oberthur Fiduciaire production with a hologram strip, meaning the physical note is indistinguishable in manufacture from circulating currency — same security substrate, same press. Collectors should note that Oberthur prints the entire EuroSouvenir range from France regardless of the commemorated location, so French production credits carry no national significance here.
