EuroSouvenir notes have been produced under license from the European Central Bank since 2015, allowing cultural and tourist sites across the eurozone to issue legal-curiosity collector pieces with a face value of zero. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of France's principal security printers, handles much of the production run for the series. Charles X, the last Bourbon king of France, was deposed in the July Revolution of 1830 after signing the Four Ordinances — acts so politically catastrophic they triggered his abdication within days. He died in exile in Gorizia in 1836, having never set foot in France again.
