| Obverse description | The right two-thirds of the note are occupied by a large intaglio-style vignette of a leopard's head in three-quarter view, rendered in warm golden and violet tones, alongside a seated white-faced primate at centre. To the left, the denomination numeral '0' appears within a circular frame, flanked at upper left by the standard Euro Souvenir EU flag vignette in blue and gold and a coloured security element at lower left. The institution name 'CERZA PARC ZOOLOGIQUE LISIEUX' runs along the top border, with 'EURO SOUVENIR' in block lettering at lower centre and the engraver's signature 'R. FAILLE' at lower right. |

| Reverse description | The standard Euro Souvenir reverse carries intaglio vignettes of six iconic European landmarks arranged across the note: the Colosseum (Rome), Manneken-Pis (Brussels), the Eiffel Tower (Paris), the Sagrada Família (Barcelona), the Brandenburg Gate (Berlin), and the Tower of Belém (Lisbon). At the right margin, a reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa is incorporated into the design. The denomination '0€' is repeated across the note, with printer attribution and country-of-manufacture inscriptions along the lower border. |

The "0 euro" souvenir note program, administered by Euro Souvenir and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire, exploits a quirk in European monetary law: denominations bearing the euro sign are legally permissible as long as they carry no positive face value and are never offered as tender. The program launched around 2015 and has since produced hundreds of licensed issues for tourist sites, museums, and zoos across the continent. Cerza, a zoological park in Lisieux in Normandy's Calvados department, joined that roster with this 2020 issue. Engraving credit goes to R. Faille, one of the named craftsmen Oberthur regularly deploys on collector-grade intaglio work.
