| Opmerkingen |
The 0 Euro souvenir note program, administered through the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and distributed via participating sites across France, was launched in 2015 as a collectible format with no redemption value — legally possible precisely because zero-denomination instruments fall outside EU regulations governing genuine currency. Oberthur Fiduciaire produced these on genuine banknote paper with the same security features used on circulating issues, which is part of the appeal and part of why they trade at multiples of their face non-value.
Amiens Cathedral holds the distinction of being the largest Gothic cathedral by interior volume in France, completed in the 13th century and largely intact — unusual given the fighting that swept through Picardy in both World Wars.
