Obverse description The obverse bears a vignette reproducing John Tenniel's celebrated illustration 'Alice, the March Hare and the Hatter,' rendered in a period engraving style consistent with the original 19th-century artwork. The series title 'CARTOON CLASSICS' and the subject identification 'ALICE IN WONDERLAND' appear as principal legends, accompanied by the series reference 'EUROSOUVENIR 2025-4' and the face value '0 EURO.' The signature of R. Faille, C.E.O. of the FEBG, is printed in the lower register.

The EFBC souvenir zero-euro program has been running long enough to develop its own collecting sub-market, with certain short-run subjects commanding multiples of face — or rather, multiples of nothing. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints these to euro-series security standards: genuine intaglio, UV-reactive inks, and the EURion constellation, which means automated cash-handling equipment occasionally accepts them. That last detail has caused documented headaches in vending machines across several member states.

The Alice subject joins a crowded field of licensed pop-culture releases in the 2024–2025 run. Whether Carroll's 1865 source material or a specific screen adaptation is being licensed here is worth confirming before cataloging the rights holder.
