EuroSouvenir notes have been produced by Oberthur Fiduciaire since the programme's early years, and the technical specification matches genuine euro banknotes closely enough that handling one is briefly convincing — the paper feel, the format, the security-adjacent printing. They carry no legal tender status anywhere and were never intended to.
