Eurosouvenirs "0 Euro" notes occupy a peculiar niche: they are legal collector items produced under license from the European Central Bank, printed to genuine banknote specifications by security printers — in this case Oberthur Fiduciaire — but assigned a face value of zero, meaning they carry no redemption obligation whatsoever. Oberthur's involvement gives the physical object more technical credibility than the concept perhaps deserves; the firm prints actual circulating currency for multiple central banks.

The Easter edition is one of dozens of seasonal and topical releases Eurosouvenirs pushes annually, which keeps secondary market premiums modest.
