EuroSouvenir notes occupy a peculiar niche: legal-form collector pieces denominated at zero, manufactured to European Central Bank dimensional and security specifications but carrying no monetary value whatsoever. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the primary contractors behind genuine euro banknote production, prints this series — which gives the physical object a credibility the denomination deliberately undermines. The Brussels centenary note marks the city's 1000th anniversary milestone, an event the Belgian capital has been commemorating across multiple years of programming beginning around 2019.
