The EuroSouvenir program issues zero-denomination collector notes that are legal curiosities rather than legal tender — they carry the visual grammar of genuine euro banknotes but are produced specifically for the tourist and philatelic market, with full authorization from participating European authorities. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the major European security printers, handles production, which means the substrate and print quality match those of circulating issues despite the notes having no monetary function whatsoever.
Božena Němcová (1820–1862) was a Czech writer whose novel *Babička* remains one of the most-read works in Czech literary history. She died in poverty, largely ignored by the Austrian authorities who regarded her nationalist sympathies with suspicion.
