| 备注 |
Ávila's medieval walls, completed largely in the late eleventh and twelfth centuries, are among the best-preserved Romanesque defensive circuits in Europe — a UNESCO designation since 1985 that made the city an obvious candidate for the EuroSouvenir program. These zero-denomination collector pieces are produced under license and carry no legal tender status anywhere, though Oberthur Fiduciaire applies the same security printing standards used for circulating currency, including genuine banknote paper and intaglio elements.
Oberthur's French facility has printed EuroSouvenir issues for dozens of European sites since the program's expansion in the 2010s. The Ávila piece is one of several issued for Spanish walled cities in 2024.
