The zero-euro souvenir note program, administered by the Paris-based company Euro Souvenir (formerly known under various Oberthur-linked commercial arrangements), has issued several hundred themed notes since 2015, each printed to full ECB security specifications — including genuine intaglio printing, holograms, and serial numbers — despite carrying no monetary value and no issuing central bank. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them under the same technical conditions as circulating currency, which is part of the commercial proposition.
The AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix at the Nürburgring, one of Europe's oldest historic motorsport meetings, has been held annually since 1975. The 2020 edition was significantly disrupted by pandemic restrictions.
