| Opmerkingen |
The Atelier des Lumières souvenir issue is part of EuroSouvenir's ongoing licensed program, printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire under authorization from the European Central Bank, which has permitted these zero-denomination pieces since 2017. Legal tender they are not — but the ECB authorization means they carry genuine euro security features, including a holographic strip, which is an unusual circumstance for what is essentially a commemorative novelty.
The Atelier des Lumières itself opened in a former iron foundry in the 11th arrondissement in 2018, building its reputation on large-scale immersive projections — the Paris–New York theme pairing suggests a touring or cross-cultural exhibition program rather than a permanent installation.
