The zero-euro souvenir note program, administered through a network of licensed tourist vendors, launched in France around 2015 and has since issued hundreds of location-specific designs through Oberthur Fiduciaire under the Euro Souvenir label. These notes carry no legal tender status but are produced to genuine banknote specifications — security thread, correct substrate — which is precisely what drives their collector appeal. Arromanches-les-Bains is a logical subject: the town sits directly above the remains of the Mulberry B artificial harbour, sunk in place by the Allies in June 1944.
The 360° circular cinema opened in 1961 and still screens original D-Day footage.
