Arromanches 360 is the circular cinema built directly into the cliff above the D-Day beaches, opened in 1963 and running continuous screenings of The Longest Day archival footage on a nine-screen wrap-around installation. The souvenir zero-euro note format, introduced by EuroSouvenir around 2015 and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire under license from the European Central Bank, has become a significant secondary revenue stream for heritage sites across France — Arromanches being among the more visited Normandy stops on the D-Day circuit.
Oberthur prints these on genuine banknote paper with full security features, including the EURion constellation, making them superficially indistinguishable from circulating currency to the untrained eye.
