EuroSouvenir notes are a legal novelty — struck to European Central Bank specifications by licensed security printers, face value zero, but technically valid tender in no jurisdiction while carrying all the physical hallmarks of a genuine issue. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the few printers authorized to produce them, applies the same security substrate and intaglio work used on circulating euro notes, which is precisely what makes the series collectible rather than merely decorative.

The Aquarium de Biarritz, on the Atlantic coast of the French Basque Country, has operated since 1933 — one of the oldest public aquariums in France.
