EuroSouvenir notes are a collector-only series issued under license from the European Central Bank, with no legal tender status anywhere. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to genuine banknote specification — same security paper, same intaglio process used on circulating euro issues — which gives them a tactile authenticity that most souvenir items lack.
The Amasya reference commemorates 22 Haziran 1919, the date Mustafa Kemal convened a regional congress there that helped consolidate the nascent Turkish resistance movement ahead of the Sivas Congress. A meaningful date in Turkish national history to put on a piece of euro-format paper.
