Opmerkingen

Euro Souvenir notes occupy an odd corner of notaphily — they carry no legal tender status anywhere, yet Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to the same security specifications used for circulating currency, including genuine euro-format substrates and Eurosystem-compliant dimensions. The program launched around 2015 as a licensed novelty product sold at tourist sites and cultural attractions across Europe and beyond, with each design commissioned for a specific venue or theme.

R. Faille is one of several designers who contributed to the series. This particular issue, themed around Aboriginal Australians as part of a broader "Tribes of the World" sub-series, is a collector-market item from the outset — bought, not spent.
