Prague's municipal transport system began operating horse-drawn trams in 1875, making 2025 the 150th anniversary this souvenir note commemorates. The zero-euro format — a collector product sold through tourism channels across Europe, produced under license and bearing no legal tender status anywhere — has been issued in enormous print runs since the concept was commercialized around 2015, with Oberthur Fiduciaire handling the bulk of production from France.

David Vlček is a Czech graphic designer who has worked on several Czech commemorative issues. The hologram strip is standard across the zero-euro souvenir series and carries no additional authentication purpose given the notes' non-monetary nature.
