Obverse description At right, an intaglio stone vignette of Tecun Uman set against a stepped pyramid temple, with a multicolor quetzal bird vignette to the left serving as the principal design element. Reverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio view of Temple I (Temple of the Great Jaguar) at the Tikal archaeological site, rendered in fine line engraving against an elaborate guilloche underprint in blue and terracotta tones. To the left, a decorative cartouche encloses the denomination legend in bold letterpress, while a stylized Maya mask ornament occupies the right field. Fractional value numerals appear in each corner, and the printer's imprint reads 'Giesecke & Devrient Munich' at lower left.
