Opmerkingen

A wartime local emergency issue from Golmés, a small municipality in the Pla d'Urgell comarca of Lleida, Catalonia. When the Spanish Civil War disrupted coin supply across the Republican zone, hundreds of Catalan towns and businesses issued their own fractional paper currency under a loose framework of tolerance from the Generalitat. Pastisseria Casa Macari — a pastry shop — was among the more unusual private issuers, a category that sits alongside barbers, cooperatives, and taverns in the broader emergency emisión record.

AL#3427 places this squarely within the Aguilar-Llorens corpus of Civil War Catalan locals, the standard reference for these issues. Survival rates for small private issues from this region are unpredictable; business records rarely survived the war's aftermath.
