Comments

One of hundreds of emergency fractional notes produced by anarcho-syndicalist collectives across Republican Spain during the Civil War, this piece from Castellón reflects the CNT-affiliated agricultural collectives that briefly abolished money in parts of the Valencian region — and then had to reintroduce local scrip almost immediately because inter-collective exchange required some medium of account. The Colectividad Cooperativa Confederal de Trabajadores Campesinos was among the rural worker organizations that collectivized land following the July 1936 uprising, operating outside both the Republican state banking system and the UGT-aligned collectives.

The Gari Mon number is unassigned, suggesting this piece was either catalogued too late for inclusion or remains insufficiently documented in the major reference works.
