Poduzeće Vesna was a Yugoslav consumer goods enterprise, and this half-dinar chit belongs to the category of privately issued necessity scrip that circulated within specific factory or retail networks during periods when small-denomination coinage was chronically scarce. Yugoslavia's coin shortage problems were persistent through much of the postwar decades, and enterprises occasionally filled the gap with their own low-value tokens and paper chits — technically illegal under federal monetary law but tolerated in practice.
The Zagreb origin is consistent with Croatia's more industrialized commercial sector. Attribution to a specific print run or date remains difficult; these chits were rarely documented at the institutional level.
