Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in fine relief with a crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, revealing the goddess's facial features. The helmet's cheek guards are visible flanking the face, and the prominent crest rises above the crown. The neck and lower truncation are visible at the base of the field. The coin surface exhibits an olive-green patina consistent with its Sicilian provenance and antiquity.
