Reverse description Central device consisting of a battle axe and a Scythian bow in its bowcase (gorytos), depicted upright and in parallel, emblematic symbols of the Olbian civic and military identity. A monogram appears to the left of the devices in the field, while the ethnic legend OΛBIO is inscribed vertically to the right, reading downward along the edge of the flan in bold Greek characters. The composition is typical of Olbian civic bronze coinage of the early Hellenistic period.
