Obverse description Bare head of Herakles facing right, draped in the Nemean lion skin headdress, with the scalp and open jaws of the lion visible above the hero's brow. The facial features are rendered in a vigorous Hellenistic style, with well-defined musculature and curling hair visible beneath the lion skin. The flan is irregular, and the field is otherwise plain.
