Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered with fine wavy hair falling in loose curls behind the neck, encircled by a beaded border. Four dolphins are disposed around the field, their bodies curving gracefully in alternating positions. The portraiture reflects the accomplished Campanian die-cutting tradition of the late fourth century BC.
