Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in a Hellenistic style characteristic of Carian civic coinage. The hair is depicted in thick, wavy locks swept back from the forehead beneath a wreath of laurel. The facial features are boldly modelled with a prominent brow and aquiline nose.
