附加信息	Gergis was a small Troad settlement whose coins are notable partly because scholars long debated whether the head appearing on its issues depicted a local deity or the Sibyl Herophile, who ancient sources specifically associate with Gergis as her birthplace. The geographer Strabo names her among the most celebrated of the Sibyls, and the identification, though contested, has driven outsized collector interest in this otherwise minor civic bronze.
