Nesos was a minor mint operating in Lydia during the Hellenistic period, its issues so scarce that the cataloging references for this type span multiple national collections simply to establish its existence. The city itself remains poorly documented in ancient sources, which makes the survival of any bronze civic coinage from this mint genuinely useful to scholarship rather than merely collectible.
