Reverse description The Palladion — the ancient cult statue of Pallas Athena — depicted in motion to the right, shown as an archaic armed female figure brandishing a spear in her raised right hand and holding a shield in her left, striding upon a rocky base. To the left of the Palladion stands a tall krater on a pedestal, serving as a secondary civic emblem. The composition is rendered in low relief with compact, expressive detail characteristic of Hellenistic island bronzes.
