Obverse description Europa seated upon a bull advancing left, her garments billowing in the wind, her right hand grasping the animal's horn for balance. Two dolphins are depicted in the lower field beneath the bull, referencing the maritime setting of the myth. The figures are rendered in robust relief within a beaded border, characteristic of Hellenistic Cretan coinage.
