Obverse description Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, depicted in the characteristic Rhodian style with flowing curly hair and prominent solar rays emanating from the crown of the head. The youthful, idealized facial features are rendered in high relief with fine modelling of the cheek and brow. The neck is visible at the lower field, and the flan shows the broad, slightly irregular fabric typical of emergency bronze coinage of this period. No legend or border is present on the obverse.

Reverse description A rose in full bloom occupies the central field, the civic emblem of Rhodes, with the Greek letters Ρ and Ο placed on either side as an abbreviated ethnic legend. In the left field, a hook or pruning knife (harpe) serves as a magistrate's control symbol, while in the right field a dolphin and trident appear as additional control marks. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border. The composition reflects the standard Rhodian reverse type adapted for emergency bronze coinage during the First Mithridatic War.
