Obverse description Bare head of Artemis facing right, hair dressed in a bun at the nape with a braided diadem along the crown, rendered in a simple but expressive Hellenistic style typical of provincial Pontic coinage. The portrait is set within a plain, irregularly shaped flan with no border or surrounding legend. The neck is truncated smoothly at the lower right. The modeling of the facial features is relatively fine, with a well-defined nose and eye.
