| Obverse description | Head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, with locks of hair visible beneath the helmet's cheek guards. The portrait is rendered in a sturdy, provincial style characteristic of Lucanian bronze coinage of the early Hellenistic period. The flan is slightly irregular and the relief is bold and well-centred within the round field. |
