| Obverse description | Scallop shell depicted in high relief at center, with pronounced radiating ribs fan out symmetrically from a pointed apex at the base, filling the entire flan. The naturalistic rendering of the shell is executed with considerable detail, characteristic of the Apulian bronze coinage tradition. No inscription or legend is present on the obverse. |
