Obverse description Laureate and bearded head of Dionysus facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with detailed wavy hair falling to the neck and a wreath of ivy or vine leaves crowning the head. The portrait occupies the full field of the flan with no visible inscription. The die work is competent, displaying naturalistic modeling of facial features typical of Thracian civic bronze coinage of the period.
