Perge was among the most commercially active cities of Pamphylia, and its autonomous bronze issues circulated locally throughout a period when the region changed hands repeatedly — Seleucid, Attalid, and eventually Roman authority each left administrative marks on the city without fully interrupting its civic coinage. The referenced SNG Copenhagen and France specimens represent a type struck across a broad span, and die studies suggest production was intermittent rather than continuous, likely tied to festival or market cycles centered on the sanctuary of Artemis Pergaia.
