Reverse description Man-headed bull striding right, a characteristic Oscan-Italic type associated with the river-god iconography of southern Italy. Above the bull's back appears a partial inscription in Oscan characters, with a rayed or dotted symbol (wheel or star) visible in the upper field between the letters. The figure is rendered in a robust, provincial style typical of Bruttian or Lucanian bronze coinage of the period.
