Obverse description Divided shield bearing the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg: upper half displays a rampant lion to sinister, lower half shows the episcopal arms with horizontal bars. The date appears in the exergue below the shield, struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered coinage of the period. No surrounding legend; the design fills the field with the heraldic devices.
