Reverse description Two elongated, flaring ritual trumpets (hasosrot) depicted in high relief, standing upright side by side and dominating the central field, with a small pellet between them at the base. A Hebrew paleo-Hebrew legend surrounds the trumpets reading 'For the Freedom of Jerusalem,' distributed to the left and right of the design. The trumpets, associated with Temple service, are a hallmark motif of Bar Kokhba revolt coinage and reflect the nationalistic and religious aspirations of the revolt.
