| Reverse description | Central field occupied by a bold multi-line Arabic inscription in horizontal registers bearing the imperial titulature of the sultan. The legend reads 'Sultan of the two lands and lord of the two seas, the sultan son of the sultan,' reflecting the traditional Ottoman sovereign formula. The inscription fills the field from edge to edge within a beaded border, with no pictorial devices, in keeping with Islamic numismatic convention. The hammered flan shows characteristic surface irregularities and slight flan weakness at the margins. |
