| Obverse description | Crowned royal cipher of Jan II Kazimierz Waza occupying the central field, composed of an interlaced C and R monogram with a small letter R in the lower portion, surmounted by an open royal crown. A circular Latin legend runs along the full periphery, separated from the central device by an inner beaded border. The design is rendered in the characteristic hammered style of mid-seventeenth-century Polish coinage. |
