Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski occupying the central field, rendered in the Neoclassical style with flowing curled hair falling to the shoulder. A circular Latin legend runs between the bust and the toothed (milled) border, reading STANISLAUS AUG D G REX POL M D L. The portrait is boldly struck with fine detail in the hair and facial features, consistent with Warsaw Mint workmanship of the 1760s.

The shield is surmounted by a royal crown and encircled by a laurel wreath. The outer Latin legend, running between the wreath and the toothed border, records the denomination and weight standard. The date appears in the legend or field in accordance with the year of issue.
