| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski facing right, rendered in a neoclassical style with fine portrait detail. The king's hair is shown loosely tied at the nape in the contemporary fashion. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading STANISLAUS AUG. D. G. REX POL. M. D. L., identifying the monarch as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania by the Grace of God. The portrait is centrally placed within a plain field, characteristic of Warsaw Mint pattern coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central device depicts a minting press or coining machinery in profile, symbolic of the assay and trial nature of this pattern piece. The date 1771 appears in the lower exergue beneath the device. The circular Latin legend PROBATUS AD PONDERIS surrounds the composition, indicating this piece was struck as a weight and standard trial. The overall reverse design reflects the utilitarian and official character of pattern coinage produced at the Warsaw Mint under royal supervision. |
