| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Mahmud II, rendered in highly stylized Ottoman calligraphy with characteristic ascending strokes (tuğ) projecting upward to the right and a sweeping looped baseline (beyze). Arabic inscriptions accompany the tughra to the right. The entire central device is enclosed within a decorative floral wreath border of stylized leaves and rosettes encircling the coin's periphery. |
