Obverse description The field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend in bold, raised Ottoman script, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The text reads the royal titulature identifying Sultan Ahmed III and the Kostantiniyye (Constantinople) mint, with the AH date 1115 inscribed in the lower register. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle and surrounded by an outer border of radiating dashes or grain-like milling. The calligraphy is rendered in the characteristic Ottoman sülüs style, with flourishes and decorative star-shaped ornaments separating the lines of text.
