Obverse description Central field occupied by the first tughra of Sultan Abdülhamid I, rendered in the characteristic Ottoman calligraphic style with elongated vertical strokes (tuğ) and looping horizontal elements. Flanking decorative motifs including stars and stylized tulip ornaments frame the monogram within the open field. The mint name and regnal year are inscribed in Arabic script, reading 'Darebe fii Kostantiniye 1187,' indicating the Konstantiniyye (Constantinople) mint and the Hijri year 1187. The overall composition fills the flan with little remaining field visible, consistent with Ottoman hammered billon coinage of the late 18th century. A post-mint suspension hole is present near the upper right rim of this example.
