Obverse description The State emblem of Israel in relief appears in the upper right of the field. At center, a large incuse rectangular panel bears a multi-line Hebrew dedicatory inscription presented by the Office of the Prime Minister to participants of the First Convention of the World Council of Synagogues in Zion. Below the rectangle, the date is given in both Hebrew and English: May 29–31, 1962.

Reverse description The central field features a bold stylized multi-pointed star composed of radiating beams, within which a Hebrew scriptural inscription is rendered in relief. The surrounding border carries a bilingual legend in Hebrew along the upper rim and in English along the lower rim, reading 'World Council of Synagogues'.
